We offer three program options for dog training:
- Polite Puppy Program – If your pup is younger than eight months old, this Pittsburgh dog obedience training program is the perfect way to get them familiar with the basics. Our Polite Puppy program is 10 days long and gives your little furry friend an opportunity to learn basic skills they need to thrive and how to socialize in a day care setting.
- 10-Day Basic Adult Program – Our basic adult program is available for dogs who are eight months and older. Since older dogs can handle longer training periods, they will spend 10 days training one-on-one with our trainer.
- 20-Day Advanced Adult Program – Looking for a more advanced training option? This program is your best bet. It’s a 4-week course that’s available to dogs over eight months old. Results are the priority, and the program is designed to deliver the most consistent training. For this reason, the program is customizable to your pup’s abilities and needs.

Meet Samantha! She is a passionate dog lover who enjoys helping pet parents understand their fur babies. Samantha started training her own dog, Moonee, when she was just a little girl. With Samantha’s guidance, Moonee became her cardiac alert service dog.
Now, Samantha dedicates her time to training other dogs through our program. We love Samantha and know that your pup will too. She looks forward to meeting you and your furry friend!
How Does Dog or Puppy Training Work?
Puppy training is designed to promote relationship building by bridging the communication gap between you and your dog. At Pet Palace, we use positive reinforcement to accomplish this, which works by rewarding the dog when good behavior is accomplished and withholding rewards when the behavior does not match the intended result.
The purpose of enrolling your dog in obedience training is to teach your pup about the different behaviors and commands that are acceptable both inside and outside of your house.
