If you live in or around Cleveland, Ohio then you know it’s quite a dog-friendly place to be! There are plenty of dog parks in Cleveland to take your pup to throughout the year that will not only allow them to burn off some energy but also make friends with other dogs as well.

The Lakewood Dog Park has been around for nearly twenty years! The Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park founded the park in 2002 and have worked to enhance, improve, and sustain the property for the community ever since.

Conveniently located for downtown residents, this park sits just outside of The Flats. The Downtown Cleveland Dog Park is a fenced in, spacious (nearly 3,500-square-foot) outdoor play area that draws crowds on a regular basis, and it features a play structure for the more adventurous pups. If your dog enjoys the water, this is the spot for them! The westernmost section of Edgewater beach, also known as the K-9 Coastline (indicated by signage), is a pet-friendly shore where dogs of all sizes can run, swim, and play in the sun. Parking is free and the Edgewater beach house, located just down the walking path, has snacks, drinks, and an outdoor shower head to rinse off with.
Tri-City Dog Park is among the best dog parks in Cleveland and is located in Middleburg Heights. This dog park is roughly .75 acres and is completely fenced in, allowing dogs to run and play off-leash. In the coming years, Tri-City Bark Park board plans to install more amenities to the park such as a pavilion for guests and an obstacle course for the dogs!
Another one of our favorite Cleveland dog parks is the Avon Lake Dog Park. Members of the Avon Lake community have shared great reviews about this park, describing it as spacious for their dogs with plenty of seating area for visitors. There are also a variety of obstacles and structures for your pup, which makes this a perfect option for fur babies in the suburbs.
Aukerman Park, located in North Royalton, features an on-leash agility course for dogs of all sizes and skill levels. Utilizing this agility course is a great way to exercise and spend quality time with your dog while getting some sunshine and fresh air.
